Our commitment
Integrity Lift Compliance Ltd inspects platform lifts, stairlifts and passenger lifts that exist so people can move around buildings independently. It would be a poor advertisement for that work if this website were difficult to use. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA.
What we have tested
The site is tested automatically against WCAG 2.1 A and AA success criteria, plus additional best-practice rules, using axe-core. At the last check this returned zero violations across pages representing every template on the site — the homepage, a service page, a location page, a sector page, a knowledge article, the case study and knowledge indexes, the PUWER hub and the 404 page.
We also verify that:
- every page has a correct heading structure with no skipped levels;
- a "skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches;
- all content sits inside a labelled landmark region;
- every page can be read, and every link followed, with JavaScript disabled;
- no page scrolls horizontally down to a 320px viewport width;
- FAQs use native disclosure elements, which keyboard and screen-reader users can open and close like any other control, with or without JavaScript.
Known limitations
We would rather list these than imply they do not exist:
- Automated testing is not complete testing. Tools like axe-core detect roughly half of real accessibility barriers. This site has not yet been tested end-to-end by a person using a screen reader, so we cannot claim full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance — only that we have found and fixed everything our testing surfaces.
- The enquiry form and the assistant need JavaScript. With JavaScript turned off, every page can still be read, but the enquiry form will not send and the assistant will not open. Phone or email instead: the phone number is at the top of every page, and both are at the bottom.
- Some photographs are decorative. Where an image carries no information beyond the text beside it, it is hidden from assistive technology rather than given a description that would simply repeat the page.
- Third-party content. Documents or tools we link to on other organisations' websites, such as HSE guidance and legislation.gov.uk, are outside our control.
If something does not work for you
Tell us and we will fix it. Email info@integrityliftcompliance.co.uk or call 07496 873972, describing the page and what went wrong. We aim to respond within five working days.
If you need information from this site in another format — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone — ask and we will provide it. That includes our inspection interval chart and any report we issue to you as a client.
Enforcement
If you contact us about an accessibility problem and are not happy with our response, the Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010. You can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) about it.
