Handover Inspections
Statutory thorough examinations timed against PC-stage lift, MEWP and BMU handover requirements.
Project-Critical Engineering Response
Independent statutory examinations scheduled around project-critical deadlines — insurer renewal cuts, contractor handover windows, snag-and-handover programmes and incident investigation triggers. The report, with photographs, comes the same day, and we remind you before the next one is due.
Certificate expired or lift out of compliance? You're exposed to enforcement action, and your insurance may not respond, until it's resolved. What to do.
Engineering Approach
Independent, defensible statutory examination by an engineer with deep hands-on plant experience.
Urgent examinations usually come from a deadline rather than a fault:
Tell us the deadline on the call and we will tell you straight away whether we can meet it.
LOLER 1998 Regulation 9 requires a thorough examination after installation and before first use where equipment's safety depends on how it was installed, and after any exceptional circumstance, such as damage, overload or a near miss, that could affect its safety. Those examinations are needed whatever the date of the last periodic one.
How often do LOLER inspections need doing?A Report of Thorough Examination with everything LOLER Schedule 1 requires — including the equipment identified, the date examined, its safe working load, any defect with what must be done and by when, and the date the next examination is due — with each defect graded by severity. On top of that:
If anything is not safe to use, you are told in writing before we leave. Because we sell no repairs, a defect on the report is never a quotation in disguise.
